Melissa joined Canterbury Linen Services in 2017, originally employed as a Truck Driver, there have been quite a few changes to her role since then. After a short time in the job, Melissa moved on to the Customer Service and Sales side. With her flare and understanding of our company software and Online Ordering system, she was able to assist the Office Manager with manually setting up over 500 customers onto the system. As she consistently proved herself, Melissa was offered the role of Distributions Coordinator.
Managing drivers, creating new delivery routes and sorting wages was not what Melissa thought she would end up doing, but it has ended up being a great career opportunity for her and has allowed her to grow and face challenges both within CLS and personally. Melissa takes every challenge and opportunity we throw at her with open arms and she is able to achieve everything to the best of her ability.
When she’s not at work she is spending time with her daughter. Being a solo parent means going to work can sometimes be more a break than a job. Between dance and swimming lessons, homework and playdates for her daughter, Melissa enjoys taking some time for herself and going on walks. Her current favourite spot is the Rapaki Trail, which she has even taken her daughter up.
